Our goal is to provide you with great resources to products that we are sure you will love! I got this really cute rolling pin decoration from a family member a while back. They knew I liked plants and thought I could do something with it. I decided my snow drift aloe would look perfect in it. Aloe like well draining soil and prefer a pot with drainage holes. This didn't have any drainage holes, so my first step was to create some. I used an impact driver and a small drill bit....

Watering is an essential part of caring for any plant. No matter what type of plant you own it is going to need water at some point. Succulents and cacti need a lot less water than your average house plant, but will still need watered. During the winter my succulents get watered once a month. Watering succulents    If I notice wrinkly leaves on my succulents I will water that plant more often, but most get watered once a month. If you are new to succulents and are not sure how often to water you can look at the leaves to see if they are wrinkly. I was really excited about it too. I put it in my kitchen window, which receives afternoon light from a south-facing window. Then I kind of forgot about it. I do this with my succulents on purpose to avoid watering them too soon after purchasing. It gives them time to adjust and most of the time they have been overwatered at whatever store I got them from. The problem here is that prayer plants are not succulents. They don't want direct light all day long and they like to be watered more frequently than succulents. I realized my mistake about 2 weeks later. The leaves were crispy, curling, and dying. The soil was also bone dry. I quickly ...
