I have a lot of plants in my home that I love, but I definitely have a few that I love more than the rest. The majority of my plants are succulents, there are just so many and they are all really cute.

Burros tail

My favorite plant is my burros tail. I love trailing succulents and this one is gorgeous. Get is not extremely picky about light. Mine sits in a west facing window and is very happy. It is even producing new growth where leaves fell off while repotting. It is prone to root rot if over watered I water once a month in the winter. The leaves are fragile so you do have to be careful not to touch or bump it. The good thing is if leaves fall off they propagate really easily.

String of pearls/dolphins

Since they are both string of succulents I decided to combine these two. They are both beautiful trailing succulent. Mine are in a west facing window where they are doing well. If outside they prefer an area that is partially shaded, too much direct sun will burn their leaves. They like a little bit more water than most succulents, but you still have to be careful to not overwater. They will get root rot if overwatered. Mine are in a gritty soil to help with that. If you are worried about over watering you can wait until they are slightly wrinkled to water. They also look gorgeous trailing from a hanging pot.

Aloe

I love all the varieties of aloe. I have more aloe than any other type of plant in my house and have plans to buy more this spring. I have a wish list dedicated to types of aloe hybrids I want. Currently I have aloe vera which is known for its medicinal properties, aloe snow drift, and climbing aloe. The care needs for these are about the same. Pay attention to their light needs though some prefer more light than others.

Coweb hen and chick

This succulent has such a unique look. It has a cobweb in the center of the succulent. It reproduces through offsets, which you can see in the picture. This succulent is cold tolerant and can be left outside year round in areas that get freezing temperatures unlike most succulents. They also do not like to be watered very often. I have this one in a south facing window where it gets afternoon sun.

Golden pothos

This beautiful houseplant vines when they stems get long enough. It is most often grown in a hanging basket. I plan to move both of mine to hanging baskets this spring.  The vines of this plant can grow 10', but most people trim them. pothos are easy to propagate as well. All you need is a stem with a node to propagate it. Golden pothos can survive and even thrive in many light conditions. It does well in low light conditions, but the leaves will lose their yellow spots and turn a darker green. I have mine placed in an east facing window where they receive morning sun.

Prayer plant

Even though I almost killed mine I love this plant. My mistake was I treated it too much like a succulent and it has very different needs than a succulent. It does not like its soil to dry out all the way and does not want to be in a window that receives a lot of light. The leaves with burn and die if placed in a window that receives to much light. I now have mine in an east facing window where it only receives morning sun. I water it about once a week and it is putting out new growth. If you notice your has leaves that are curling it most likely wants a drink of water. The leaves are prayer plants are beautiful and can even have a red color on the bottom of the leaves.
